The NWSCRGA and You
Welcome to the National Weather Service and Central Region Golf Association page. You will find the latest information on upcoming outings as well as results from past outings and even a list of champions dating back to the first tournament in 1972! Just click on a link in the left hand menu.
All NWS outings listed on this site are open to NWS and NOAA employees, active and retired, as well as family, friends, guests and partners such as media, emergency managers and cooperative observers. Basically anyone who plays golf is welcome! We have divisions for ladies, guests, seniors and everyone else. We accomodate all skill levels with flights that give everyone a chance to win. We play scrambles on Monday and Tuesday followed by individual golf on Wednesday and Thursday that is flighted for similar skill levels. You can join us for any number of days, whatever fits your schedule and abilities.
Each year, a portion of our entry fees are given back to the local community where we play golf. This is usually done as a donation to the local Red Cross Chapter. This money helps with disaster relief and preparedness in those communities. Since 2006, the NWSCRGA has given over $3000 to local Red Cross Chapters.
If you have any ideas or suggestions, let us know and we will try to accomodate as many as possible. Send any questions or request more information from current NWSCRGA Chairman Jon Hitchcock at jhitchco77@gmail.com.
