The thrust on academic excellence in the classroom has been accompanied by an effort to build up the Vidyalayas as co-educational residential institutions. The House System of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, functions as an effective instrument for the development of the personality of the students. It furthers team spirit, by involving students in a variety of co curricular and extra curricular activities. The inter house competitions, organisational responsibilities, games, sports & art in education activities help students to groom themselves into competent & self-confident individuals.
