City of Las Vegas to sponsor PARK(ing) Day

The city of Las Vegas and its Parking Services Division is sponsoring PARK(ing) Day this year as a way to build community in the downtown area. The city will utilize 25 metered spaces on the 100 block of Seventh and Sixth Street and allow citizens to temporarily transform metered parking spots into temporary public parks on Friday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Click here for more information.

The Nevada Chapter of the American Planning Association is honored to announce that Pat Mulroy will be the keynote speaker at the 42nd Annual State Conference, held this year at the D Hotel/Casino in downtown Las Vegas from Oct. 12-15. Ms. Mulroy will engage planners about the correlations of water policy and land use planning and the implications for the future of Southern Nevada.
