 Five people have been honoured recently, including  Barbara Keddy, a board member of Nursing History Nova Scotia.
 





Archives and Anecdotes: Telling the Story of CAHN/ACHN (Canadian Association of the History of Nursing)


With funding from the Registered Nurses Association of Nova Scotia, Barbara Keddy travelled the province
conducting oral histories with nurses who had graduated from the 1920s to the 1940s,
eventually placing the transcribed tapes in the Nova Scotia archives. 


The Digitization Project at Mount Saint Vincent University

This site, which was developed by the Mount Saint Vincent University Archives, explores the history of nursing education in Nova Scotia from 1890, when the Victoria General Hospital established the first nursing school in Nova Scotia, to the late twentieth century.  Listen to interviews done by Barbara Keddy.

Included at the above website is a list of dates and historical information on the hospital based Nursing Schools in Nova Scotia and the History of Nursing Education in Nova Scotia.
