Next meeting...

The next meeting of the Nuclear Physics Forum will be held tomorrow (Wednesday 29th September 2016) in York, during NuSTAR Week. The meeting will be held in Room K133 of the Kings Manor buuildings in York town centre (i.e. not on the university campus). The meeting will start at 1.30pm (with an expectation to finish at 4.30pm).

The next meeting of the Nuclear Physics Forum will be held at the Daresbury Laboratory on Tuesday 10th May 2016, starting at 1.30pm (with an expectation to finish at 4.30pm). The meeting will be held in the Thomson Seminar Room, which is in the building with the cafeteria.

The next meeting of the Nuclear Physics Forum will be held at the Daresbury Laboratory on Wednesday 29th April 2015, starting at 1.00pm (with an expectation to finish at 4.30pm). The meeting will be held in Cockcroft Walton Rooms A&B.

The next meeting of the Nuclear Physics Forum will be held at the Daresbury Laboratory on Tuesday 9th September 2014, starting at 1.30pm (to 5pm). The room for the meeting at Daresbury will be announced in due course. The Agenda for the meeting is presently being put together. If anyone has any items that they would like to be added to the Agenda, then please contact the Chair or the Secretary.

For the purposes of Daresbury security and catering for the coffee break, please email John.F.Smith@uws.ac.uk if you plan to attend.

New Chair of the Nuclear Physics Forum

At the meeting of the Nuclear Physics Forum on 7th May, nominations for the next Chair of the Forum were put forward. The nominations received were for Dr David Jenkins (University of York) and Professor David Ireland (University of Glasgow). Following an email ballot, held between 15th and 23rd May 2014, Professor David Ireland was elected as the new Chair of the Forum.

Congratulations to David, and many thanks are due to the outgoing Chair, Professor Rodi Herzberg, for serving an extended term as Chair of the Forum.
