Competitions
General information:
NTU Mathematics Competitions began in 2007 when the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences decided to send a team to the International Mathematics Competitions for University Students (IMC). It was the idea of our student Yudis Mulyadi and would like to give him credit for that. Dr Fedor Duzhin has been in charge of the competitions since then.
In 2007 and 2008, the NTU mathematics competition was used to select the IMC team. However, in 2009 we separated the two events - the internal competition for NTU student and the training camp, where the team members are selected by a series of 4 very hard exams.
In 2009 we named our competition after Leonard Euler. There is always an Euler-themed problem since then and we try to hold it around the 15th of April, which is Euler's birthday.

For NTU students: if you're interested in participating in maths competitions, a good idea is to take the course MH9000 - Mathematical Problem Solving. Here you can find the blog of the course with all assignments.Â
