NSSC Hikers resumed hiking in May 2025.
The 2025 Hiking Schedule is available below (click on the link.)
*Please check this site for updates and for additional information throughout the hiking season due to possible closures of trails or changes in hike destinations or times.
The next general meeting for hikers will be Spring 2026.
Please plan to attend if you intend to hike with this group.
Individuals who choose to hike with our group do so at their own risk. Our hikes are not urban walks!!
Many of our hikes are on trails with rocks and exposed roots and may have significant elevation gain and mileage. For the safety of all our hikers, please consider your ability before participating in any hike.
A Northshore Senior Center-Member/non-Member Waiver must be on file with the Northshore Senior Center before a Hiker can hike with our group.
General Information:
You do not need to be a member of Northshore Senior Center to sign the Waiver. The Waiver can be accessed by clicking on "NSSC Waiver Hiking" PDF (or the "Northshore Senior Center-Member/non-Member Waiver Form" link below, by downloading the form from the Northshore Senior Center's Catalogue or by visiting the Northshore Senior Center, 10201 E Riverside Dr., Bothell, WA 98011.)
Hikes are free except for the Car Pool Fare. We also share additional costs such as ferry fares. Click on "2025 Carpool Fare" and "Reimbursement Guidelines" below for links to additional information.
We meet at the back of the Woodinville Park and Ride (enter via NE 178th Place or NE 179th Street, Woodinville) at 7:30 AM unless otherwise posted to set up carpools and leave promptly at 7:45 AM.
Bring a packed lunch, adequate hydration (water/juice), sun screen, bug repellent and layered clothing for variable weather conditions (heat, cold and rain). Hiking boots and hiking poles are highly recommended.
