Son Vu is currently an assistant professor at ETIS/ENSEA - Univ Cergy-Pontoise - CNRS, France. Previously, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Liris/Insa de Lyon (2013), as a R&D engineer at the Vesalis company (2012), and as a postdoctoral researcher at Gipsa-lab (2011). He received his PhD from Grenoble-INP in 2010.
His researches are computer vision, image processing, and more specifically document and face analysis. He also received the Best paper award in the IEEE Int. Joint Conf. on Biometrics in 2012 for the work "Mining Patterns of Orientations and Magnitudes for Face recognition".
