R.D. Stethem Battalion, US Naval Sea Cadet Corps
Future Patriots, Ready to Stand the Watch

Aloha and welcome to the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps R.D. Stethem Battalion!

We currently meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays from 0800-1600.  Often it is at the Seabee Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit 303 compound on Port Royal Drive on the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, but other times is it at Combat Logistics Battalion 3 at Marine Corps Base Hawaii or Richardson's poolhouse near the Arizona Memorial.  So check the announcements before each drill.

Our cadets
learn skills in various trades (vehicle mechanics, carpentry, electronics, plumbing) and field operations.

Don't have base access?  No worries!  Contact us no later than the Tuesday before drill.  If that isn't possible, contact us anyways...

What are the Sea Cadets?  Chartered by the US Congress in 1958, the US Naval
Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) is for American youth ages 13-18 who have a desire to
learn about the Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines. Sea
Cadets are authorized by the Secretary of the Navy to wear Navy uniforms
appropriately marked with the Sea Cadet Corps insignia. The objectives of
the Sea Cadet program are to introduce youth to military life, develop in
them a sense of pride, patriotism, courage, and self-reliance, and maintain
an environment free of drugs and gangs.
