Phoenix Metro Family Chapter of the National Stuttering Association

The Phoenix Metro Family Chapter of the National Stuttering Association began in Fall 2009.  Our vision was to provide a safe, fun environment for kids and teens to meet face-to-face, to learn more about stuttering, to feel safe talking however they want and to know that you are not alone!!  We've been growing strong ever since!!

The National Stuttering Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing hope and empowerment to children and adults who stutter, their families, and professionals through support, education, advocacy, and research.

At most meetings, we provide three separate group experiences:  NSAKids (ages 5 to 12), NSA TWST (ages 13 to 18) and a Parent Support Group.  Our leadership team is composed of seven dedicated people including parents of teens who stutter, a person who stutters, speech-language pathologists and students of speech-language pathology.

Our meetings provide a comfortable place for kids or teens to meet their peers, who also stutter, face to face.  We offer a safe, supportive place for youth to be themselves.  Remember, if you stutter, you are not alone.  Meetings are also a place where kids, teens and parents learn more about stuttering and get the support they need.

Siblings, friends, teachers and anyone interested in learning more about stuttering and/or supporting a young person who stutters are welcome to come to meetings!
