Nathir Ahmad Rawashdeh joined the mechatronics engineering faculty at the German Jordanian University in September 2009, where he serves as the department's academic exchange officer and is a member of the university council. He received the Ph.D. and BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky in 2007 and 2000 respectively. Dr. Rawashdeh also received the MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2003. He worked for two years as a Senior Software Engineer in the laser division's Color Science and Imaging Department at Lexmark International, Inc. in Lexington, Kentucky. Between 2000 and 2003, he was with The MathWorks, Inc. in Natick, Massachusetts focusing on software quality engineering for embedded DSP programming using MATLAB and Simulink.
Dr. Rawashdeh is fluent in English, German and Arabic. His research interests include robotics, machine vision, pattern recognition, signal processing, image quality analysis, color science, non-impact printing.
