This is a site about ideas for citizen science projects associated with the NECTAR POINT NETWORK.
Citizen science for studying and managing neighbourhood ecosystems is based on the idea that improving the wildlife value of the urban matrix of roads, gardens, parks and other green spaces  will have positive impacts on a number of ecosystem elements and processes, such as species diversity and microclimate.
Projects must involve recruiting residents and coordinating their activities. Therefore, outcomes will be influenced by a complex interaction of sociological issues and ecological processes.  Because the work involves the public directly manipulating the local environment, it is to be expected that projects will also impinge on human behaviour, such as attitudes towardst issues like outdoor pets and lawns.
