This is a Novo six horsepower model S vertical engine.
Year manufactured: 1922 Serial number: 76301.
Manufactured in Lansing Michigan.
Four cycle, hit-miss operation.
Capable of clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation.
Flywheels: 24" diameter 2" diameter crankshaft.
Bore: 5.75" X 7" Stroke. RPM: 475.
Weight: 800 lbs (without skids or cart).
Governor: Hit-Miss manually adjustable.
Hopper type water cooling.
Ignition: High tension buzz coil.
Fuel: Gasoline, (other fuels may also be used).
Uses a constant level mixer, (no float operation).
Gas tank in base: Capacity 6 US gallons
This engine has custom removable valve cages.
The engine has new ignition components, points, etc...
It has a new brass oiler. I got all the parts I needed at Hit and Miss Enterprises, a great parts supplier! The fuel pump was rebuilt to seal and stop it from leaking. The mixer was bead blasted, I replaced the gaskets
and needle valve, I then painted it with clear-coat heat paint. The muffler
was taken apart, glass beaded, reassembled, and repainted with black
heat paint. It has excellent compression and torque!
