Hi!
This website is supplementary to the article "Novel cases of diffraction of light from a grating: theory and experiment," published in the American Journal of Physics.
A lot of programming and simulation has gone in to understand the diffraction patterns studied in the above mentioned article. As such, all the supplemental material has been uploaded on the EPAPS (AIP's Electronic Physics Auxiliary Publication Service). But you will also find all that material on the following webpages.
3. Intensity Distribution (Complete Derivations)
All the programs have been written in Octave 3.2, which saves files as 'filename.m', similar to MATLAB. Thus to execute the files, you will have to use either Octave, or MATLAB (after some minor syntactical editing).
You may freely download, use, modify and share these programs.
Please feel free to give your feedback (ninad.jetty -at- gmail.com) if you find any errors or bugs in the programs. Also, do tell us if this material was useful for you.
We thank you for showing interest in our work,
