SATURDAY 26TH MAY 2018 (NEW DATE)

  • A one day regatta held at the National Watersports Centre at Holme Pierrepont,
  • Six-lane 2000m racing
  • British Rowing rules and BR Rules of Racing will apply
  • Competitors attention is draw to BR 'RowSafe: Guide to Safe Practice in Rowing'.
  • The regatta will run in two divisions: no doubling-up or boat sharing in the same division.

Events offered

The events offered are set out in the table below - the general principle is that while running independent morning and afternoon divisions we want to allow crews to be able to double up between morning and afternoon if they wish to do so.
  1. The regatta will comprise of independent morning and afternoon divisions.
  2. For Open and Women’s senior events, both the morning and the afternoon divisions will contain events for all boat categories.
  3. For each boat category, either the morning or the afternoon event will be banded according to CRI (these are highlighted in the table below). This gives the opportunity for crews to double-up in the ‘opposite’ division should they wish to do so – but note that this alternative event will not be banded.
  4. Lightweight events are offered in 2x and 1x. These will not be banded on CRI.
  5. There will be age-banded junior events at Junior 18 and Junior 16.
  6. The committee reserves the right to move junior crews to corresponding senior events on the basis of CRI if no appropriate junior event can be formed.
  7. If senior events are banded, the lowest tier is not available to junior crews.
  8. It may be necessary to restrict the number of accepted entries into an event in order to limit the total number of races in the day. If this is the case then the number of entries that are accepted into an event may be rounded down to the nearest multiple of six (for example, if there are 13 entries in an event then only 12 will be accepted).
  9. If entries into an event do have to be restricted then the acceptance criteria will be: (a) payment; (b) date of payment and (c) time of entry.
