NOTPROFS would like to inform you about the YOUNG INVESTIGATOR AWARD associated with the Lorne Conference for Protein Structure and Function.

In recognition of the very fine contributions to science made by young protein scientists, the Lorne Conference for Protein Structure and Function each year makes one to four special awards.

Known as the “Young Investigator Award” (or YIA), recipients receive a $500 prize and have the opportunity to make an oral presentation in the very popular “Young Investigator” session of the meeting.

To be eligible, the applicant must have been awarded his or her PhD in the past five years (i.e. not before 2007). Exceptions to this, where there have been career breaks for family responsibilities, will be considered by the committee.

To apply - in addition to submitting an abstract, applicants must provide a one page CV summary of their track record in pdf format and email this to Jackie Wilce, jackie.wilce@monash.edu with “cc” to Danielle White, dw@asnevents.net.au by Friday 4th November.

We encourage outstanding applicants to apply for this very highly regarded award and look forward to hearing about your great science!

Jackie Wilce

Chair of the YIA Committee
