Letter Writing Campaign

Loyola is yours. Let your voice be heard.

We would like to thank all who signed in concurrence with the open letter. It was a great demonstration of the momentum propelling our cause. Beyond being published in The Greyhound, over two-thousand copies were distributed on the Evergreen campus. As we all know at this point, the Board of Trustees authorized its Executive Committee to move forward with the proposed name change this summer, pending further review of ongoing research. While we are not in agreement with the Board's decision, we must remain resolute in our endeavors to secure the esteemed name of Loyola College in Maryland. We endorse a demonstration of your disapproval with the proposed name change at Feedback@Loyola.edu. We believe however, that as opponents of the proposal, feedback sent may not necessarily be received with regard given to our position. This is solely our opinion. As a result of this, we are commencing a letter writing campaign. We highly urge all to not only offer feedback at the aforementioned Loyola e-mail address, but too to write to the Executive Committee, the full Board of Trustees, the President, the Alumni Relations office and the office of College Relations.  To facilitate this process, we are offering to consolidate all letters into a bound volume, with one binding being sent to each of the aforementioned parties, including each individual trustee. By choosing this method of dispersal, we can ensure that feedback is received by all members of this process. The compilation of letters will be wholly private, not being shared with any party except for the creators of this website and the abovementioned college officials and their associated offices. To ensure the integrity of this campaign, please be made aware that letters containing vulgarity, threats, offensive language and any other questionable content will not be permitted into the compilation. We ask that in addition to sending your feedback directly to Loyola, you please submit all letters and correspondence to...

NoToNameChange@GMAIL.com

A post office box address will be added shortly, should you desire to send your letter via post.

PLEASE SEND LETTERS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THOUGH WE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS TIME OF YEAR IS EXCEEDINGLY BUSY, WE MUST ACT QUICKLY.
