The Joys of June (and July, too!)
This has been a great month. I settled into a new apartment (pictures and details on a separate page), Mom and Dad came to visit for a week, we went to a family reunion in Illinois to celebrate Grandpa Gwin's birthday for a week, I got a new nephew (meet Jonathan here), went garage saling, played for a wedding, did some freelance editing jobs, donated blood, worked in the garden, and enjoyed dinner with friends. Now I'm eagerly anticipating Kjersten's arrival (July 6) and enjoying three months of having her nearby.
Well, as you can tell, I started this page a few weeks ago. Now July is nearly half over, and I never did get the "Typical Day" page finished, like I intended. Kjersten arrived on Saturday, and we've been having a great time. Every day or evening there have been visitors at my place or we've gone somewhere. (Surely we won't keep that up all summer!)
Jon and Judy showed up at the door on Sunday morning, unannounced. I quickly finished dressing and welcomed them inside. It was fun to meet Jonathan Jr. and visit with them a bit before going our separate ways to church. They're here for the entire week.
This week Del is leading a family camp, Byron and his secretary are both out, and I'm managing two major projects. Never a dull moment!
Thanks for your e-mails. I love hearing from you.
Have a great summer!
