Current work deals with study of the Pyrgotidae and Ctenostylidae (Diptera: Tephritoidea) of the World and the fauna of Ukrainian fruit flies (Diptera: Tephritidae).

Research interests:

Systematic of Diptera (Palaearctic Tephritidae and Platystomatidae: taxonomy, faunae, biology. Old World Pyrgotidae: taxonomy. Suprageneric taxonomy of Tephritidae and Tephritoidea (Worldwide). Faunistics of several Ukrainian Acalyptrate Diptera. Insects associated with asteraceous and scrophulariaceous wild and weed plants, and with leafy spurges; agents for biocontrol of weeds.

Skills in foreign languages:

English: B2 (fluent conversation, translation and scientific writing); German: fair scientific translation. Other: Russian - fluent. Polish, Czech - fair.
