The Norwegian Electro-Optics Meeting is the main Norwegian forum for scientific and technical optics, uniting basic research, innovation and industry applications. The presentations will include invited talks by leading international scientists and presentation of new projects and products from Norwegian companies. Young researchers and PhD-students will be given priority for oral presentations, while all participants are invited to present posters. New for this edition are short presentations giving an overview of the main Norwegian research groups in optics.

It is a tradition to have the meeting at historic hotels in scenic fjords on the coast of Norway. This time, the concept is taken one step further: To the very scenic fishing village of Henningsvær in Lofoten. The village is situated on several small islands, has 444 inhabitants and is frequently visited by tourists and climbers. There is a small airport close by (Svolvær, 36 min drive) and a larger further away (Evenes, 3 hours drive). Bus transport will be arranged for selected flights (see registration form).

Please note: Due to lack of accommodation capacity, the conference has been moved from Nusfjord to Henningsvær. Accommodation will be split between Henningsvær Bryggehotell, Lofoten Arctic Hotell and Henningsvær Rorbuer. All attendants will get single rooms. If you have already booked a flight to Leknes and need assistance with transport, please send an e-mail (electrooptics.norway@gmail.com).

The meeting is sponsored and organised by the Optics Group of the Norwegian Physical Society, the Department of Physics and Technology at the University of Tromsø and the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI). Furthermore, it is made possible thanks to our sponsors Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, NEO Monitors and Holger Hartmann.
