 14th February Isumbard Kingdom Brunel - 'I Alone am Hung in Chains' - John Cooper. John, a Historian & Art Historian with years of lecturing in national museums, discusses the images in paintings & photographs of Brunel, and relates them to his achievements

 11th April ' Midwifery, Never A Dull Moment'   Dorothy Cook . Dorothy uses her many years as a midwife to entertain & enlighten us on her profession.
 9th MayShelterbox.'  Elizabeth Odell .  Elizabeth with tell us about the work of Shelterbox across the world and her own travels to far off places to help in areas of disaster and famine
 13th June  'The Butterfly Within'  Rachel Bown    Rachel Bown is a Special Educational Needs PE Teacher and international triathlete who has fought the terrible blow of being diagnosed with a brain tumour and yet managed to pilot a new life for herself. She eventually returned to racing for Team GB.The book tells of the roller coaster year which changed her life and is an inspiration to all.
 11th July'Goodnight Mr Tom' Alan Dix. Alan will tell his story of being an evacuee in WWII, leaving London on his 5th. birthday to spend four years in a Welsh mining village. The talk will cover the reasons for evacuation, Blitz Pied Piper education and the long term effects on those involved.
