We are now up and running on!!!

Please cross-post to Memphis area folks, so we can try to get this baby home!  We have some of the most wonderful people who have helped us search for missing Danes in the past, and we thank you in advance for your efforts in this case.

4yo female named McKenzie; white w/few black spots (lightly marked Harlequin), blue eyes with pink around one eye.  Her Name Is McKenzie, and she is super sweet but a little shy.  She disappeared from her backyard when let out to potty on Friday (12/3/10) around 10:30am.  The family has contacted the shelters, local vets, and placed flyers in the neighborhood, however no one has seen this big girl, so there is a question as to whether or not she left her yard on her own!  If you have any information at all or see this girl, please call us asap, and we will send someone to that area to help search.  This family is devistated and wants their girl back.  You can call NMSGDR (901) 461-5997, or McKenzie's family (901) 301-4330 or (901) 647-7143.

The Rescue of Seriously Injured Cupcake and How to HELP!!!

posted Dec 1, 2010, 6:31 AM by M O

***Cupcake came in to NMSGDR with a severe tail injury, from "hitting it on a piece of glass!?"  Due to the extensive nature of this injury, part of her tail had to be amputated. She'd also been bred and reportedly had a still birth 2 days prior to her surrender, so she underwent a spay in addition to the amputation. Cupcake is the sweetest thing and doesn't meet a stranger and just wants to be loved, despite the horrible things she's been through, and for some reason still has faith in us 2-legged folks...not sure why!  Cupcake is going to recover, but of course this was not cheap! If anyone would like to help with Cupcake's road to recovery, we welcome any amount of support.  Nothing is too little to help!!!!  Please use our Paypal link, or checks can be sent payable to NMSGDR c/o Snowden Grove Animal Hospital, 5165 Getwell Road, Southaven, MS 38671. Either way, please keep this beautiful precious girl in your thoughts as she recovers.  If you want to see how we found her tail, please visit the bottom of her page.  Beware, it is SO SAD and graphic...
