Welcome to the Mansfield MOMS Club®

MOMS Offering Moms Support®

WHAT WE'RE ABOUT:

The International MOMS Club®, MOMS Offering Moms Support®, is an international non-profit organization specifically designed for at-home mothers. We offer support to at-home mothers because we know you need it. Our number one purpose is to form a network of support for at-home mothers. The International MOMS Club® is not based on race, religion or financial stability. Staying home to raise your children is a decision and you are not alone. The International MOMS Club® is there to help support that decision.

HISTORY OF THE MOMS CLUB
® :

The International MOMS Club® began in 1983 when Mary, an at-home mother from Simi Valley, CA, decided she was tired of being alone at home. She wanted to meet other at-home mothers and she wanted to find other at-home children for her children to play with. When she discovered there were no organizations that met during the day and allowed her to come with her baby and preschooler, she decided to start a new organization just for at-home mothers and the International MOMS Club® was born!

OUR CHAPTERS ACTIVITIES:

KIDS DAY OUT:

Special activity planned for the children once a month (i.e. zoo, museum, bounce house)

MOM'S NIGHT OUT:

An evening event that takes place once a month for our moms to get together and have a girl’s night out.

PLAY GROUPS:

All members are encouraged to join a playgroup since this is the best way for you to meet other moms with children the same age. The playgroups meet weekly, usually at a member's home. Once or twice a month the playgroup might meet at a park or restaurant. You're welcome to try all the playgroups and choose one you like. You can join the same number of playgroups as the number of children you have.

COOKING CLUB:
Share recipes and good food once a quarter. There is new theme each time (i.e. desserts, appetizers, Mexican food, etc.). Bring a dish to share and ten copies of the recipe.

BABYSITTING CO-OP:
Trade babysitting with other moms.  We have play money in one hour or thirty minute increments totalling 20 hours for each participant.  If you have a doctor's appointment or need to run to the grocery store, etc., you can put a request for a sitter on the babysitting co-op's e-groups.

MEAL SWAP:

Choose a meal that your family enjoys, is budget friendly ($5-7), family friendly, and freezes well.  The number of meals you prepare will depend on how many people participate, but average participation is between 8-10 meals.  Seal your meals in freezer-proof containers or baggies.  Include the name of your meal, preparations instructions from the freezer, and your name.  (We have a template for you to use.) Then take all but one of your meals (which you’ll keep in the freezer for yourself) and exchange the remainder of your meals with the others in  your group.

CRAFTY KIDS:

Participate in a kid-friendly craft with your children. Supplies are usually provided and the cost is generally in the range of $1 to $3 per child. CRAFTY KIDS meet once each month.

SERVICE PROJECTS:

International MOMS Club® is a non profit organization. MOMS Club® of Mansfield holds one or two main service projects a year to help a local charity.

GENERAL MEETINGS:

Our general meetings are held the 3rd Friday of every month. Visitors and their children are welcome to attend 2 meetings or outings before deciding to join. We typically have an activity geared toward the children. We do crafts, participate in music classes, have festivals, have story time, or listen to guest speakers. Speaker topics range from parenting, first aid, financial planning, and more.

DUES:

Our dues are $25 the first year and $20 each following year. We understand that being mother means a tight family budget, so if the dues would be a hardship on your family, please talk to one of our officers.

HOW TO JOIN:

It's simple! Email ambush7@sbcglobal.net with your name and address. We will let you know when our next meeting will be held and answer any of the questions you may have. Our chapter is always open to new members. Some of us have lived here for years and are experienced mothers and many of us are new to town or new to motherhood. We all have one thing in common… International MOMS Club® introduced us to other moms looking for support and friendship.

DON'T LIVE IN THE AREA?:
