We are thrilled to announce the opening of Northlight Art Studio at Arthur and Davis streets in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

For painters seeking the experience of drawing/painting from a live model, we offer the opportunity to join with other experienced artists in a professional setting.  

This has been a dream of a dedicated group of artists, and now we are a reality.  

We so appreciate this painting life we share, and now we can share with others.

Open studios:                             

Tuesdays  1-4pm-Life figure drawing undraped.

                             Short to long pose. 15 to 30 minutes figure studies.  

                             Long pose to finish. Study is concentrated on anatomy, features, 

                             composition, measuring, cropping, block-in, shading etc. Any medium. All levels welcome.

Thursdays 1-4pm- Portraiture and full costumed figure study in special themed set-up. Medium of choice-oil, watercolor, charcoal, conti, pastels etc. Emphasis is on color, proportion, composition, measuring, and developing your individual voice and style. 

Mondays or Wednesdays 10-1pm- Lessons with resident artist, Michael Latala. Bring your own picture to finish or photo to paint and Michael will help you complete your work of art. Or, draw and paint from original still life set ups.

Saturdays 1-4pm on special dates- Portraiture is taught from a model by master artist Romel de la Torre. Call for dates.

Workshops are scheduled for 1 or 2 days at intervals. Call for current schedule.
