Located in the high desert region in the heart of Oregon, the The North Lake FFA Chapter is one of eight FFA programs that make up the Central Oregon FFA District. The other chapters are Bend, Crook County, Culver, Duffer, Redmond, Madras and Sherman County.

District Information
North Lake School District is located in the beautiful high desert region of south central Oregon about 75 miles southeast of Bend. The school serves approximately 225 students from the towns of Silver Lake, Christmas Valley, and Fort Rock. The area is ideal for those interested in the outdoors; hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, skiing, and bird watching are favorite activities of local residents. Wildlife is abundant in the area, such as mule deer, pronghorn antelope, elk, coyotes, badgers, eagles, and hawks.
The district consists of a single K-12 school building, which opened in 1991. North Lake is proud of its investment in technology. The school maintains two outstanding student computer labs and has installed interactive whiteboards (Smart Boards) in all of its classrooms. North Lake School has implemented Positive Behavior Support school-wide, ensuring an outstanding school climate. Teachers in North Lake enjoy a four-day work week and small teacher-to-student ratios of less than 14 to 1. North Lake achieved a ranking of "Exceptional" from the state of Oregon in 2008 -- the highest ranking possible.
