Ministries

Our numerous ministries are active at the local, national and international level.  We encourage you to become involved!  Don't see something and have a ministry or fellowship suggestion?  Click here to let us know!

Christian Education
All children ages 4 through high school seniors are invited to join us in learning about Jesus and what it means to be a Christian.  We use “Seasons of the Spirit,” a lectionary based curriculum which connects the Sunday School lesson to the scripture readings in the worship service.  We have found that the children listen more intently to the scriptures while they are being read and, after they have participated in the Sunday School lesson, they are ready to share in a “theological” discussion with their parents.  We all live a busy life, full of “other than church” activities. We strongly urge you to make church school a priority in your child’s life. Participating in Christian study with peers in the presence and with the leadership of Christian adults is an important life opportunity that should not be missed.  All children and youth attend the beginning of the 10:00 worship service and are dismissed to Sunday School after the children’s time with the Pastor.  Parent involvement is always welcome!  Consider teaching or a non-teaching positions in which you could serve.  We look forward to a great year of Christian learning and fellowship.  NKUMC also has a nursery program and a wonderful youth program.

We also have an adult Sunday School that meets at 9:15AM, Sunday mornings.  Ask to find out more.  Questions - contact our Christian Education Director.
