Tynemouth Philatelic Society

About the Society

The Society was founded in 1927 and has hosted NEPA convention on four occasions, the most recent being in 1987. John Burton was a member of the society when he won the Stampex Mailcoach in 1959 with an exhibit of Maltese Cross Cancellations.

Meetings are held at the Tynemouth District Scout HQ, 31-35 Norfolk Street, North Shields NE30 1BD (adjacent to the Bell and Bucket Public House), usually on the first Fridays of each Month, September through May Inclusive at 7.00pm and finish by 9.00pm..
