Sunderland Philatelic Society

About the Society

The Society was founded in November 1924 when 18 members attended the first meeting, held in the Sunderland YMCA. Various venues have been used over the years. Eight members have held the post of NEPA President and four have been recipients of the NEPA Award of Merit. The active Junior Section has the distinction of having won more trophies and medals at International levels and Melville than any other society in the country.
