OBJECTIVE: To promote the development of young soccer players by providing progressive instruction of basic soccer techniques and tactics within the spirit of fair play. In accordance with the North Country Soccer philosophy our focus will be on developing the youth's growth in mind, body and spirit. Individual skills will be developed by utilizing the principle of one ball to one person; a solid foundation of ball control skills will be used in individual sessions, small groups and game situations.

STAFF: Coordinator Angela Figallo McShane will be joined by local league and collegiate soccer players, varsity soccer alumni & high school players. Brent Detamore will serve as the NCS Camp Director for the 4th summer; he is licensed by the United States Soccer Federation with a National E and a National F license. Brent is a former collegiate player, has played on several club teams internationally and is currently the head coach of Profile School's Varsity Men's Soccer team. Brent plays local pick up soccer and on summer league teams. Local Coaches serve as Division Leaders who oversee team groupings. A 6:1 player:staff ratio is provided with staff reflecting both male & female populations. This incorporates the North Country Soccer & Olympic Development Training skills & philosophy of fair play.

CITs: Our counselors in training (CIT) have experience participating in North Country Soccer camp and are working towards becoming a counselor. CITs must be entering 6th grade or older to be eligible. CIT's are enthusiastic about soccer, enthusiastic about working with younger players and are proud to serve their community. CIT's will be rewarded with a fantastic experience in taking the initiative to help younger community members and community service hours for their time.

COUNSELORS: Counselors must be at least three grades older than the campers. They have served at least two years as a CIT. In addition to participating in North Country Soccer camp, counselors have shown their ability to lead drills properly and are able to create positive experiences for younger players. Counselors can choose between receiving community service hours or a stipend for their time.

FEES: The tuition for camp is $65. There is a $25 non-refundable deposit which is included in the camp tuition. If you need help paying for camp please contact Camp Coordinator, Angela Figallo McShane at alfigallo@gmail.com.

EQUIPMENT: Although there will be a few extra soccer balls, each child should have a soccer ball with their name on it. Bring your own 'brown bag' refreshing snack and reusable water bottle or jug. Players will need sneakers in case it rains we we play indoors (bring cleats if you have them but cleats are not mandatory.) Players should also have their own sunscreen, bug spray, hat and/or sunglasses.

LOCATION: All North Country Soccer Camps will be held at the Dow Field in downtown Franconia, NH. The Dow Field is across the bridge at the blinking light in Franconia, exit 38 off of 93 N.
