Normal Projects is pleased to announce the exhibition of works by Ben Wolf with Jon Bocksel and Sarah Morgan. The exhibition begins in a small town in Drums, Pennsylvania at an elevation of 1,102 feet in Luzerne County. This is the location where Wolf’s truck broke down en route to install the current

exhibition.

Wolf is current recipient of the LMCC artist-in-residence program and received his undergraduate degree in 2005 from Pratt Institute.  The current exhibition contains a large relic from Drums that will collaboratively be used between Ben Wolf and Jon Bocksel. Bocksel’s film is projected on the exterior side of the large aluminum truck siding supporting Wolf’s sculpture. Additionally, Bocksel’s film will be made available for sale, each cover hand-screenprinted by the artist.

Sarah Morgan also uses the found object in her work. A display of appropriated imagery will hang in the gallery much like a collection in one’s family room or library. These tender wall hangings, drawings, and found objects relay Morgan’s sensitivity to the possession and emotional ties people place on materiality.  Like accumulated awards and honors, the framed drawings are adorned simply. The

assemblage also contains childhood fragments; a wish list entitled ideal MR.  Morgan was an undergraduate at Cooper Union and received her graduate degree at Yale in 2002.
