If you visit me for supervision y
ou can expect a safe and collegial supervisory relationship through which we might explore your practice together. I would be supportive and consistent in my understanding and respectful of your practitioner experience, knowledge and expertise.

I have experience of working with supervisees who practice from many different counselling approaches. However, I work predominantly from within a classic Person-Centred approach.  As such I would always apply the attitudinal qualities of empathy, acceptance and genuineness within our supervisory relationship, whatever your theoretical approach might be. Exploring the relationship you have developed with you client would be a feature of our work together, as would your well-being.

Working ethically and professionally will and must always be an important aspect of counselling and I am mindful that sometimes these issues might arise  from your work.  Should this happen then we shall work together to explore, understand and resolve them.
