British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP’s primary purpose is to support counsellors and help them better serve their clients. Our Association was formed nearly 40 years ago by a group of counsellors who were passionate about the value of counselling and its potential to improve the lives of individuals and communities. This passion and commitment, and the knowledge that counselling changes lives, are still at the heart of everything we do. You can visit their web site here.

British Association for the Person-Centred Approach (BAPCA)

The person-centred approach is based on the theory and philosophy of Dr Carl Rogers.
It is a non-directive approach to being with another; that believes in the others potential and ability to make the right choices for him or her self, regardless of the therapist's own values, beliefs and ideas. You can visit their web site here.
