Government Relations Update

Planning for the summer? While arranging for graduation ceremonies, bridge programs, and other summer programming, don’t forget to invite your Member of Congress to visit your program! This is one of the most impactful – and easiest – ways to build support for TRIO in the legislature. COE has provided a brief information sheet to guide you through the process (including a sample invitation letter) - "Bring Your Member of Congress to Campus". COE staff is more than happy to provide you with contact information for your federal legislators, including their schedulers and local office contacts. Please contact Selene Ceja at selene.ceja@coenet.us or 202-347-7430 with questions or concerns. Thank you for your advocacy in support of TRIO students and programs!
