 (come and have a go at singing, playing an instrument or join in the banter)


(Please don't be put off with the 'members only' notices on the door, Nonsuch folk club have special dispensation to allow in any guests or visitors. Just ring the bell at the door and you will be admitted.)

As usual, in our Singaround format, we are delighted when anyone should take their turn to sing a song, play a tune or tell a story 

- usually from their seat or 'on stage' if you prefer.


We encourage ‘anything goes’ as it is a chance to. try out new styles and content.

Crossing the Line

Crossing the Line are a local band playing a mix of Americana, blue grass and folk.

The name Crossing the Line was derived from an old Railway sign; Stop, Look and Listen Before Crossing the Line!

The band is comprised of

Martin Heys; Guitar, harmonicas vocals

Martin has been around on the local folk music circuit for many years, including a long spell with the Irish folk band Feckless. He plays a wide variety of music borrowed from the likes of Steve Earle, Johnny Cash, Show of Hands and many more.


Martin Kennard; Bass, fiddle, accordion, ukulele, harmonicas, vocal and much more. Martin has also been on the local music scene for many years.  This included a long spell with the band Reavers Rant. As well as playing in Crossing the Line he also plays with North Drive and various ceilidh bands. He is a multi-instrumentalist and plays many different tunes on many different instruments.  Martin also has a fine voice


Nick Manley; Mandolin, guitar, vocals Nick has recently returned from living in France where he performed professionally. He brings with him some varied music from Elivis Presley to

Eric Bibb.











 






 

Generally we hold a Singaround Every Week from 8 - 11pm with an occasional guest event or a feature spot 


On Special Guest Evenings a door charge of £5 is made For other evenings an occasional donation of approx. £1.00 (+)
