Growing weed out doors is about as easy as it gets.
This page was created so i don't forget how to grow , I do smoke a lot!
This is how i grow weed outside:

Where i live weed is legal. since 2019
Google your local laws and ordinances. My understanding may be different then yours
I have 2 different house holds at my place, so i can grow 24 plants in my garden.
I found that my garden has gravel in it ( i think it was used to prepare the land for building) the gravel acts like the vermiculite
If your garden has no pebbles or tiny rocks use vermiculite around the plants,
Cameras
I have 14 cams around my 1.3 acres only 2 watching the garden Complete with Night vision and movement detection, originally put in so i can keep an eye on my dogs. now i can keep an eye on everything
Use Feminized seeds
I have found Feminized seeds are great! You have a better chance getting good female buds although you still have to watch them even when they are very small to make sure they dont make seeds.
If they do, Pull and throw them in the dumpster to keep away from pollen transfers (bees) or all your plants will turn male/full of seeds.
Next season ill be trying out bee deterrent devises sonic and organic
Germination
I start the germination process with a small plate a white paper towel and warm water (70 degrees).
Spread the seeds out on half the paper towel so they don't touch (I use Nitrile type gloves, use something besides your fingers if u don't have gloves .
Cover the seeds with half of the paper towel so the seeds are in the middle of the folded paper towel and not touching each other.

Water
Pour the warm water over the the seeds in the paper towel (fill the dish with warm water) then pour the water off the dish by tilting it sideways till it just drips
You will need to do the water pour at least Twice a day , Dont let the paper towel dry out.
Now we let them grow till about an 1/2 - 3/4 inch long
Keep a good eye on them paper towels if they drie out just re do the water/pour and Keep them very moist.
Get a pan of your garden dirt ready.
I made a sifter out of a 5 gal bucket by drilling a bunch more holes in the bottom, it used to be an indoor grow bucket. You want pretty fine soil for the seedlings.
Add Vermiculite to soil, start with a hand full and add till it resembles the pic. It helps plants grow easier. Mix it in good.
Plant the pointy end down and the leaf side up ,,, the side the seed shell holds onto is the leaf side. I plant with the leaves barely out of dirt and keep dirt moist
I use a measure cup with a small pour spout and water each seedling until moist daily
Every living thing needs water every day seedlings are alive.
My house is 70 degrees

Just set in window and turn pan around when they lean towards window.
They need a couple more days like this to make their steams and leaves longer and bigger . When they are 6 in tall and have 4 leaves is when i transplant into the ground, burying 3 in of the stems in the ground. More like plant them all so they are 3 in tall.

The Girls are Ready for the Ground
It happens fast! Soon as the garden is ready to till again. (just had a huge rainstorm). Most the seedlings are now 6 inches tall and have 4 leaves, the ones that aren't quite 6 inches will still get planted at the same height as the taller ones.
All seedlings will be planted at 3 inches tall. And covered with 1/2 of a see through gallon Milk container for protection from birds,squirrels,the elements,ect,ect
Be sure to pile up dirt up round the out side of each cover, so they cant blow away in the wind or something
Seedlings are now Plants.
Outside Watering
Just get a cheap Plastic sprinkler from walmart . I made a workable and raiseable mount for mine. Using old 1/2 in water pipe pcs ziptied to a steal post so i can raise it later when the plants get tall.
Watch the weather.com. I water every day according to the weather, if it is going to rain, is the only time i dont water or water less. The soil should always be at least damp, never dry.
Fertilizer
I use Shultz slow releasing, 90 days. Dont for get to add more toward the end of July.
Time to weed!
Remove the weeds the best you can you will be doing it again a few times. Under the covers there will be a lot of weeds that need to be removed.

The garden has been weeded and covers removed
I used a Hula hoe to losen the all the roots of the new vegitation all around the weed and a garden rake to rake the uprooted weeds to the edge of the garden, It dont have to be perfect as you will be doing the weeding several times
Once the garden is clear of the new weeds I removed the covers, Then i had to remove all the weeds that grew in the covers and i make small mound of new dirt around the new plants
Beware if you uncover to soon.
Im pretty sure its The squirrels/birds going after the younger plants .
Lost 6 more cuz i jumped the gun and uncovered too soon i should of let
them stay covered for another week or so.
So i germinated 10 more. ( its always nice to have a bunch of extra seeds) For a "just in case".
I hope they take off and grow, I remember last year i made a wall before i planted, since i that put back up > no more squirrel problem, beyond the wall is a bunch of trees and squirrels so that privacy screen does its job as ( in a squirrels mind) there is no safe way in/out of the garden area.
5/26/24 TopOFF Time
ReCovered and planted new seedlings
Of The original seedlings planted 5 remained untouched, probably cuz they were the biggest and fastest growing, they are a foot tall or higher so its time to TOP them off.
Plants topped off to early will only produce 2 main branches where if toped at 1 foot tall or so they will produce 4-6 main branches
At least a foot tall before cutting
Look at the highest 2 fan leaves on the plant, in between the highest fan leaves is more growth and a stem ( wait till there is a stem) Cut the stem leaving the new growth there to grow.
July 19, 2024 Updates
When the plants get about 4 ft tall or you can see them from the street its time to add or raise the privacy screen.
Extension Roped
Use any rope 3/8 or 5/16 i have used both
First start at one end of the fence , screw a 2 '' screw in to the building (i have building on both ends of my garden fence) String the rope to the first pole extension, rap it around once at the top leave enuff room to put a 1/2 staple from a staple gun
keep the rope tight and move on to the next extension and do the same for all of them then at the end tie it to a screw on the other building. (if u dont have buildings u could use steel fence posts as a slanted ground steak and tie off the ends)
Fence and security
I use chain link fabric with steel posts , 10 posts per 50 ft or 5 ft apart . I use two 4x50 ft chainlink fabric, and bailing wire to attach the fabric to the post, the second row overlapping the first row
I use 4x50 ft length of privacy screen zip tied to the fence. (if police see your weed from public streets or ect. without binoculars they can fine you)
I use Bailing wire to add post extenders (post extenders are 2x2x8 wooden or a steel post wired to the one stuck in he ground).
Now when the plants get taller i can raise the privacy screen
Keep clear of any building rain run off
Raise or add Privacy screen
I had an extra one so i added
Ziptie all top, it will help keep the privacy screen up then ziptie every other hole on the bottom of the top screen to the top of the bottom screen ( hope that confuzes u lol)
Strange summer, it was on the colds side and wet. I had plants reaching 11 ft tall so i a wall with 3 rows of privacy screen
Tie Bending Plants at 7-8 ft
I have plants higher then my privacy fence so they had to be Tied
Use i very thin steel wire tied to a rope for tie bending as the dyes in ropes could cause problems. I usually use steaks in the ground but will use the fence too maybe lol.
Pruning
The plants basically tells u what they dont need , get rid of any dis colored leaves so the plants can carry on with growing rather then killing.
All the giant fan leaves need to go also There are a lot of them you should have plenty of new growth to do so by now
You will be pruning leaves till harvest time, just get rid of any leaf with discoloring also remove any huge fan leaves if they have new growth around them
Seeds
Always look for seed growth, if a plant shows signs of seed growth pull out of the ground and throw it in the trash.
If a plant is producing seeds it is a male plant and will only be half as good as a female plants bud because it is making seeds and bud.
Trash the male plants or bees will turn more plants into male plants, i pulled 6 total and trashed ,they were 5th gen seeds called original glue from the netherlands and i have many seeds.
When i tested the Super Skunk plants on 09.18.24 , i found many seeds hidden in the buds , so some strains have to be checked better. The Super Skunk male buds are kick ass so i will have the females next summer.
Weird weather this summer very cool and damp my Gorilla Glue #4 plants acted strange also they ended up at a height of 11 + feet tall and the buds started showing at the beginning of september and became harvest ready oct 1.
I lost plants due to theft mainly. Squirrels like to get stoned evidently so do the neighborhood punks they got accouple plants, They kinda lucky i forgot were the hell my Rocksalt shells for the shotgun was. It wont happen again.
Harvest 10.1.24
Look at the tricombs ,Tricombs is what get u high. Tricombs show up almost in a clear color, then they go white and then turn Auburn
Grab a shovel and uproot the plants and shake all the dirt off and hang them upside down from the garage rafters for 1-4 weeks .
When grabing the "bud" and it feels crunchy on the out side but still soft on the inside , its time to trim everything u dont want to smoke and move the trimmed plants to a room where temps are 70 + degrees.
Drying
I use a wood stove so my degrees is way above 70 and dries weed out over night after a month of hanging in the garage.
I have used a 6x8 room with a space heater on low to get the same effect
I cut everthing with Tricombs into a pan and then transfer to a jar
Curing
I use glass jars from walmart, the 1 gal jars with tin lids with the cardboard seals, about 8 bucks ea.
Shake each jar making sure the contents inside move around abit.
Open the jar and lay lid under mouth to catch spillage. For 20 minutes.
Repeat for 30 days

Crunch everthing and pull out the stems
Indoor Grow
Harvest Date is Dec 24 2021.
This is my third harvest I used florescent grow lights and for sure the last i use them. (to expensive) LED may be coming soon.
Started with 20 Origial Glue seeds from the Netherlands. Tried a new way to germinate and only 7 survived. (disappointing always germinate with clean white paper towels.)
This batch turned out awesome, At 6 inhes tall they all had buds, lol i got their light hours mixed up, So i had to pick all the buds off and change the light hrs. see all the branches they are a result of the lighting mix up i did not tie them on any plant
This pan should be good enuff.....Wrong!
Thats all 7 plants (we are allowed 12 per household, there are 2 house holds at my house)
The bag gets froze for later curing , the jars are for the cureing
Well I can buy 1 gram of awesome weed for 5 bucks everyday So this may indeed be my last harvest.
Finding a lot of seeds so i may try outside growing next season. :) I still have a lot to smoke 2.14.22 these turned male lol i have a ton of seeds. and the smoke is still GOod :)
