I've had dogs all my life.  My family had dogs when I was growing up.  I got my first dog when I was twenty.  He was a German Shepherd named Armin who I raised from a puppy.  He went through art school with me, lying under my desk.

Since then, I've had a variety of pure bred and mixed breed dogs, many adopted from shelters.  I got the training bug about fifteen years ago and with my Australian Shepherd Stroller. Together we earned titles in the three levels of AKC Obedience Competition.  I guess you could say Stroller taught me about dogs.

I've read over a hundred books about dogs and attended scores of seminars by top trainers over the years.  I train my dog Quicken everyday and keep pushing the envelope in terms of what we can do together. Working with dogs is a fascinating field that is constantly growing and evolving.

Dogs have lived in proximity to humans for a very long time, some estimates put it at around 35 thousand years. No wonder we feel so comfortable with one another. Dogs are very important to humans.

I have two professional certifications. I am working on a third.  It is important for dog owners to become aware of the significance of these certifications.
