NOA's Chili Cook-Off was started in 2006 to help fund the NOA Domestic Violence Shelter and Programs.  It has since developed into a much anticipated annual festival; helping a good cause while enjoying Competitive, Award Winning Chili and taking in the north Georgia autumn splendor.  Live music provides an Appalachian back-drop to a must-see event.
This year's chili cook-off will add a new component, beer will be served for the very first time.  Enjoy the beer garden atmosphere while voting for your favorite recipie.
The Chili Cook-Off is a taster's choice competition.  Each guest will have a chance to vote for their favorite chili in both amateur and professional classes.  A BBQ competition will also be available.  Tasting is $10 and free for children 10 and under.  Tasting includes cornbread, dessert, a soft drink and chili/ BBQ.  Beer is available for purchase in the beer tent.  If you want to try your skill in the competition it is only $25 to enter, you may choose the BBQ or Chili competition.  You may enter both for $50.  Prizes and trophies will be awarded to all winners.  Bragging rights will also be earned and defended!
All proceeds benefit domestic violence victims and their children.
