Required Player Gear Provided By the Program

(Gear You Do Not Need to Purchase or Provide)

·          Helmet & Chin Strap- Please do not adjust or fill the helmets with air on your own, or remove or change facemasks.  Please ask your son/daughter to ask the equipment manager or coach to help to ensure proper fit and safety.

·          Shoulder Pads

·          Integrated Game Pants- The integrated game pants are to be worn for games only, they are not to be worn at practices.

·          Game Socks- Orange knee-high football socks

·          Mouth guard- Mouth guards must not be detachable. If your child wears braces you may want to contact the orthodontist to see what kind your child should wear.  Shock Doctor brand does make a mouth guard specially for orthodontics

Required Player Gear Not Provided By the Program

(Gear You Must Purchase or Provide)

·          Game Jersey- The jerseys are to be worn for games only – they are not to be worn at practices

·          Cleats- No detachable or metal spikes.

·          Practice Pants- May be purchased at any local sporting goods store.  Recommend the integrated style (with pads already in them) and in black to hide dirt!  (old style non-integrated practice pants are available for issue if needed)

·          Mesh Practice Jersey- This normally fits over the shoulder pads, but will also be worn the first week (no pads)

·          T-Shirt or Undershirt- Cotton T-shirts are fine, but breathable, quick-drying sports shirts are more comfortable. If you buy a long-sleeved, breathable undershirt (recommended for cooler weather in late Sept and October), please purchase royal blue, orange or white sleeves so that it matches the game uniform.

·          Athletic Shorts

Optional Player Gear

(Additional Gear You May Want to Purchase or Upgrade)

·          Hard Cup Chin Strap- May be purchased at any local sporting goods store.

·          Mouth guard (Extra)- Kids tend to chew up mouth pieces through the season.  Don’t get caught on game day with a frayed or ill-fitting mouth piece.  Keep an extra or pick up a replacement if you notice the mouth piece is getting worn.   Mouth guards must not be detachable. If your child wears braces you may want to contact the orthodontist to see what kind your child should wear.  Shock Doctor brand does make a mouth guard specially for orthodontics

·          Socks (Extra Pair)-Specialized Sports Undershirt- This is the breathable, quick-drying sports shirt.  If you buy a long-sleeved, breathable undershirt (recommended for cooler weather in late Sept and October), please purchase royal blue, orange or white sleeves so that it matches the game uniform.

·          Supportive Underwear, Jock, or Cup- You may buy a cup for your son to wear.  It is recommended but it is not mandatory. You may want to purchase two pair of athletic jock shorts that hold the cup.
