Nicholas K. Lowman

I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in applied mathematics at NC State University working with Professor Mark Hoefer. The central theme of my dissertation work is the characterization of coherent, multiscale structures arising in the study of physically relevant, nonlinear, dispersive systems. My present focus is on the dynamics of dispersive shock waves and solitary waves arising in the study of the interfacial dynamics of a two viscous fluid system.
