(pages 10-11 in the brochure)

Immerse yourself in a weekend of music-making with Suzuki students and teachers! This workshop includes the Every Child Can! course for teachers, a PreTwinkle violin class, and the core student workshop for violinists in Suzuki Books 1 – 5. We'll kick off the weekend with a play-in on Friday evening, offer master classes, group classes, and enrichment classes with our renowned clinicians throughout the weekend, and end on Sunday with a concert for all participants. Summer is a perfect time of the year for musical motivation! Come enjoy a quality Suzuki Weekend in your own backyard. Make new friends while sharing the joy of making music!

Prerequisite
Students participating in the full workshop must have polished their Twinkles. Participants will be placed in master classes and group classes according to age and repertoire. As with any Suzuki workshop, festival, or institute, repertoire must be played from memory, and parents or caregivers are required to attend classes.

Schedule
All participants will attend group and enrichment classes on Saturday and Sunday. Each student will also participate in one master class with one of our clinicians, with the option to sign up for a second master class. Each day of the workshop will include either a play-in or a concert.

*Some master classes will be scheduled on Friday between 3:00 and 7:00 PM. Please indicate on the registration form if you are available during this time.

New this year: PreTwinkle Violin Class
On Saturday, July 12, we will offer a PreTwinkle class for beginner violinists (those who have not yet mastered Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star an
d variations). Students must already have a private Suzuki violin teacher. Movement, posture, rhythm, and singing activities will be used to enhance foundational skills.  Students who enroll in the PreTwinkle class will also have the opportunity to participate in one enrichment class on Saturday.

For Teachers and Parents

We are once again offering the Every Child Can! (ECC) course on Friday, July 11 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. As described by the Suzuki Association of the Americas, ECC “is a one-day introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program.” To learn more about the course, visit the Suzuki Association of the Americas website (www.suzukiassociation.org).
