ABOUT THE SITE - MAP
Amy's comment: "...it is a camp, this isn’t a resort, but it is truly a lovely place."
Paddling sessions held on mile long Fairview Lake.
600 acres, adjacent to Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, access to the Appalachian Trail, Delaware River
Our Housing @ Wickapeck Lodge, a converted farmhouse with 7 bedrooms, bathrooms/hot water showers on two floors located near camp entrance. A snack kitchen (refrigerator, stove, sink; no kitchen ware, no microwave), porch and living room should provide comfy common space. Each bedroom serve 6-10 campers with 3-5 built in double bunks per room. First 35 signups housed here. Overflow assigned to one of the secondary cabins.
Access to other facility play areas: hiking, climbing, volleyball, tennis and other stuff to get away from it all - with other paddlers!
WiFi access in cafeteria, very weak cell service anywhere else.
Fairview YMCA grounds is a vast recreational area with 4 separate cabin sites, and hosts several groups on any given weekend. We will not be the only group on site.
"Trading Post" or YMCA camp store - has general items for purchase, ie: bottled water, bug spray, sunscreen, ponchos, munchies.
Two dragon boats (20 paddlers) on site with paddles and pfds.

Fairview Lake Road is a dead end.

Continue past the entrance and park in lot next to our cabin on the right. Look for Sam in the cabin as she has the wrist band proving you passed the security check. [EACH CAMPER must call Samantha and give her your info ASAP. This facility requires EVERYONE passes their RAPTOR check as a means to work towards a safer environment]
Ever see the newer version of PARENT TRAP? Well, this is IT!
We have to 5 min walk across 2 baseball fields, tennis courts and a little hill to get to the cafeteria.
TO DO
Info? camp @ njdragonboat.org
This as an outdoor camping experience, in cabins instead of tents.
If you have work to do, there is internet service in one of the buildings, otherwise...forget the cell phone data plan! ZERO cell service. If you bring computer work with you...make sure you have everything you need loaded on the laptop.
WHY?
We can always use a little local getaway once in a while!
To chill out and detach from the grind of the work week in a natural setting!
