Hello! Welcome to the website of our research group. Dr. Nitin Kumar Sharma is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur.

Dr. Sharma completed his Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech.) in the Department of Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) (BHU), Varanasi. After that, he completed his Ph.D. in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. His research work at IIT Kanpur focused on the “Experimental and theoretical study of evolution of grain boundary character distribution (GBCD) in face centered cubic (FCC) alloys”. After completing his Ph.D., Dr. Sharma moved to Canada for his Postdoctoral research at the University of Alberta. His research at the University of Alberta focused on microstructural transformations at different length scales in linepipe steels and creep resistant steels.
