NITHYANANDA DEVOTEES PROTEST
AT RAMANAGARA SP OFFICE
Demand immediate lodging of FIR against Lenin Karuppan By Truthful Offering, on August 24th, 2010. Devotees and supporters of Paramahamsa Nithyananda today staged a protest outside the Ramanagara SP office, demanding that the police file an FIR against Lenin on the spot, based on their complaints.
Significantly, the devotees, both men and women, had approached Bidadi Police station on August 9th and submitted individual complaints against Lenin stating that he was continuing to abuse Paramahamsa Nithyananda, his organization and ashramites in public and private.
Earlier this year, Lenin had gone on local and national TV to declare that over 40 women, including brahmacharinis and sannyasinis of the ashram, as well as the wives and daughters of local organizers, had had a physical relationship with Paramahamsa Nithyananda.
In response to these and other accusations, the devotees had approached the Bidadi police station to file a complaint. HOWEVER, THE BIDADI POLICE REFUSED TO EVEN LODGE A SINGLE FIR AGAINST LENIN.
After waiting 15 days, the devotees again approached the police yesterday, with the same result. ONCE AGAIN, NO FIR WAS LODGED AGAINST LENIN. By law, an FIR should be filed on the spot whenever a complaint is lodged with the police. Refusing to file an FIR is illegal.
So today, the devotees and supporters approached the Ramanagara SP demanding that their FIRs be filed. However, the Ramanagara SP was unavailable to meet them, and once again the FIR was not lodged. The DySP Sri Bisanahalli has directed the devotees to return to the Bidadi Police Station tomorrow to request once again that an FIR be lodged. In the meantime, Paramahamsa Nithyananda’s local, national and international devotees await in vain the very first step of justice.
Karnataka High Court stays broadcast of concocted tapes
The devotees of Nithyananda Swamy are pleased to share with the rest that no less than the Hon'ble High Court of Karnataka, in a Public Interest Petition (Writ Petition No.7767 of 2010), has most seriously characterised and judicially labeled the video originated, distributed and disseminated by K.Lenin as 'obscene' Thereafter, the Hon'ble High Court has proceeded to protect public morality by absolutely restraining all Television Channels from airing the video originated, distributed and disseminated by K.Lenin. K.Lenin and the television channels that put faith in his creative and perverse work clearly knew that distribution of such video is bound to outrage the modesty of women and to intrude upon a woman’s place in the great tradition of this country. What's more, these people were also acquainted with the fact that repeated circulation of such video that affects public decency and morality is bound to injure and defame the individuals alleged to be the participants in the act. Accordingly, devotees have, on their own, resolved to stand up for Swamiji and to file appropriate disciplinary/licensing complaints against the media for acting without the slightest degree of 'decency, morality or social responsibility' in their pursuit of profit maximization.
