I am recruiting graduate students to start in summer or fall of 2013 on a new research project on the N cycle of longleaf pine ecosystems. The project has a particular focus on N fixation (via legumes, soil crusts and free-living bacteria) across different disturbance regimes and fire frequencies. Strong candidates will have an M.S. in ecology or soil science or have previous research experience in terrestrial biogeochemistry, and competitive GPA and GRE scores. Prospective students can contact me directly (Nina Wurzburger firstname.lastname@example.org) and send a CV and brief statement of research interests.
