I am a Physical Oceanographer at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS) at the University of Tasmania (UTAS). My research interests span problems ranging from internal waves and mixing at small scales to the maintenance of stratification and overturning circulation of the ocean at large scales. In my work I use a combination of theory, process-oriented numerical simulations, and observations to understand fundamental physical processes in the ocean and their impact on the global circulation and climate.
