Dr. Nikolaos I. Miridakis
Welcome to my personal webpage
I was born in Athens, the capital city of Greece, in 1982. I received the M.Sc. degree in Networking and Data Communications from the Department of Information Systems, Kingston University, U.K. in 2008 and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Informatics, University of Piraeus, Greece in 2012. From 2007 to 2018, I was involved with the Department of Computer Engineering, Piraeus University of Applied Sciences, Greece, as an Adjunct Lecturer and Research Associate. Since 2018, I am involved with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of West Attica, Greece, as an Adjunct Professor. Additionally, from 2019 to 2022, I was involved with the Institute of Physical Internet, Jinan University, China, as a Distinguished Associate Researcher. In Sept. 2020, I joined the University of West Attica, Athens, Greece, where I am currently an Associate Professor of wireless and mobile communication systems at its Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering. In Sept. 2023, I appointed as deputy member of the Hellenic Authority for Communication Security and Privacy (ADAE).
My research activity lies in the general field of wireless communication networks and statistical signal processing with a particular emphasis on green communications, massive MIMO, cognitive radio systems, interference mitigation techniques, and multi-carrier communications.
In addition, I serve as a reviewer and technical program committee (TPC) member for several prestigious international journals and conferences. In 2017, I was awarded as Exemplary Reviewer by IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology and Elsevier Physical Communication. From 2019 to 2022, I served as Editor for IEEE Communications Letters. Since January of 2022, I serve as Editor for IEEE Transactions on Communications. Also, I am an IEEE Senior Member.
