My name is Nicole Smolter and I am a doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware, with specialization in Criminology and Gender. My primary areas of interests are offender reentry and feminist criminology.  My dissertation research focuses on Community-Based Reentry Programs for Female Offenders.

I received my M.S. from American University in Justice, Law & Society and my B.A. from Ohio State University in Criminology and Women's Studies.  Currently, I teach in Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice and serve as the Graduate Fellow for the Center for Teaching & Assessment of Learning.

This site is designed to illustrate my teaching and research and demonstrate my potential as a future faculty member and scholar.
