I am Minister of Economy, Development, and Tourism.

Before, I was assistant Professor of Economics at the School of Economics and Business at the University of Chile and researcher at the Centre for Social Conflict and Cohesion Studies (COES).

I obtained my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 2014 (Ken Wolpin was my advisor).

My research has focused on the Economics of Crime and Education. I am also interested in inequality, discrimination, labor economics, and development economics.
