Your First Appointment

This will normally take approximately 60 minutes. We will use this time to assess your problems, by taking a detailed case history and making a full structural examination, and then discuss the treatment plan with you, as well as taking into account your own concerns.

We understand that living with pain can be distressing, and that for many of you it will be the first occasion that you have required to seek help from an osteopath. With this in mind we are always happy to answer any questions or concerns that you may have, before your first appointment, either by phone on
01494 481713 or email us  info@bledlowridgeosteopaths.co.uk.

Treatment itself is designed to improve joint and soft tissue function. This requires us to use a series of manual techniques, which could include stretching and massage treatment, together with joint articulation and manipulation. Gentle releasing techniques are often used, particularly when treating children or elderly patients.

To conclude you will normally be given advice on relevant exercises, together with lifestyle and posture advice.
