Your First Appointment

We allow at least 60 minutes for the initial consultation in order to give plenty of time to taking a detailed case history and undertaking a full structural examination, together with a relevant medical assessment. This will allow us to develop a working diagnosis which will explain why these problems have developed and the components causing your symptoms. We will then discuss this with you together with your treatment plan, before beginning treatment itself. We believe that it is important for you to play an active role in your recovery to normal health and as such we will normally advise you on exercise plans and relevant lifestyle and postural changes.

We understand that living with pain can be distressing. It may be the first occasion that you have required to seek help from an osteopath. We will take time to explain each stage of your treatment and address any concerns that you may have. With this in mind we are always happy to answer any questions or concerns that you may have, before your first appointment, either by phone on
01494 481713 or email  info@bledlowridgeosteopaths.co.uk.

Osteopathy is a manual treatment designed to improve and restore muscle, joint and soft tissue function. This requires us to use a series of manual techniques, which could include stretching and massage treatment, together with joint articulation and manipulation. Gentle releasing techniques are often used, particularly when treating children or elderly patients.
