The Nick Blakely Foundation (NBF) continued its vital mission of preventing sudden cardiac arrest deaths in young athletes by donating an automated external defibrillator (AED) to Seckinger Athletic Association in Buford, Georgia.

"This AED will be a vital resource for the more than 5,000 young athletes who participate in Seckinger Athletic Association programs. While our five cluster schools - Patrick, Harmony and Ivey Creek Elementary, Jones Middle School, and Seckinger High School - all have AEDs inside their buildings, Nick's AED will be stationed directly at our athletic fields, closer to where children are active. This proximity is crucial since every minute saved in responding to cardiac arrest increases survival chances by 7-10%," said Mark Johnson, Seckinger Athletic Association President.
